There is a Waitrose, Lidl and Co-op in Okehampton (15 minutes drive) and a Tesco in Launceston (20 minute drive).
Tavistock Farmers Market Devon: Voted the ‘Best Farmers’ Market in the South West’. The markets take place on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month and can be reached by car in 30 minutes.
Okehampton: The site of the ruins of the largest castle in Devon, which includes the Norman motte and the keep's jagged remains. Only a 15 minute drive away from Eversfield Safari Tents. There is a riverside picnic area of exceptional beauty and some enchanting woodland walks.
Lydford: There is a lovely National trust walk around Lydford Gorge and a great pub in the village.
Bude: A very active town. Lovely golden sandy beaches and shops.
Boscastle: A lovely old fishing village.
Clovelly: A very picturesque north Devon coastal village famous for its steep hill.
Castle Drogo: A national Trust Castle. This was the last castle to be built in England (built between 1910 and 1930). It has panoramic views of Dartmoor and is one of the most remarkable works of Sir Edwin Lutyens.
Walking: Eversfield Organic Farm overlooks Dartmoor National Park, a beautiful moorland landscape with wooded valleys and wind swept Tors. Walkers and horse riders have no restrictions across the open moorland and there are about 600 miles of public rights of way. The park operates a guided walks and events programme, which is designed to help further your understanding and enjoyment of Dartmoor. The park's team of knowledgeable guides lead the walks. The pace will always be taken at the speed of the slowest walker and the guide will decide the routes, taking into account the weather and ability of the group.
Horse riding: Dartmoor ponies have roamed the moors for many centuries and for those who enjoy fresh air and exercise, horse-riding is the perfect way to appreciate the dramatic moreland scenery where these delightful animals roam. Lydford Gorge: This lush oak-wooded steep-sided river gorge (the deepest in the South West), with its natural beauty, fascinating history and many legends, can be explored through a variety of exhilarating short or long walks. Around every corner the river Lyd plunges, tumbles, swirls and gently meanders as it travels through the gorge. Discover the magical 30-metre-high Whitelady Waterfall and walk out over the Devil's Cauldron, a naturally formed pot hole.
Roadford Lake Watersports Centre: Just 4 miles from the safari tents. With over 730 acres of water, it is the largest inland water centre in the South West with facilities for sailing, windsurfing and kayaking. Equipment is available for hire, with lessons for individuals or groups, beginners or improvers.
Siblyback Lake: Just over 40 minutes drive away - Dinghy sailing, Wake Boarding, Cycle Hire and a Siblyback Segway adventure.

Beaches: Bude, with it’s neighbouring beaches is only thirty minutes drive away, and offers some of the best surfing in the region.
Kayaks & Canoes: For visitors with a taste for danger, the river Tavy and the East Okement (only paddleable after heavy rain!) offer thrilling white water canoeing.
Cycling: Eversfield Organic Farm's surrounding countryside offers cycleways for a range of different levels. Cycle hire is available in the area with maps and suggested routes. The terrain is steep in places but the views are worth the effort.
Golf: Golfers have many options ranging from top international courses to a local course.
Rugby, Exeter Cheifs: Sandy Park is 40 minutes from the farm.
